(More customer reviews)Years ago I bought the Foodsaver Professional. I used it many times vacuming fish I caught the next day. Lately the rubber seal was constantly coming off and the vacumed bags wouldnt hold the vacum after one day in the freezer. I then purchased the Foodsaver Pro II and used that for a few years. It went Kaput! Same problem.
Next vacum machine was the VacUpack. You have to hold down the lid to seal and during the vacum process which is no big deal, but finally after 4yrs, with the VacUpack, the bags were losing their vacumed seal and you had to place the bags in just right to get the seal. They however were losing their seal the next day, when tossed in the freezer. I looked online and decided to get the Weston Pro 2300. I have dungenus crab that lost their seal and resealed them with the Weston Pro. Its automatic like the foodsaver but the vacum chamber is larger and the machine is more powerful. Only drawback; no cutter to slide back and forth. The machine is heavy and not as compact as the others previously.
At the present time, I still like this machine and would recommend it if they want to pay a little more and get a good vacum seal.
